What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We make a point to collect very little personal data. We don’t like the idea of anyone using our own data against us, so we do our best to avoid that for you. At this time, the only personal data we collect is to allow you to use our website as intended. We do track clicks and data about site use, but not in any way that allows us to say “Joe Smith was on our donation page 34 times last month and then went to Netflix to watch…” or anything like that. Information that is available to us about your behavior is anonymous and is limited to information like: “A visitor (annonymously) came from your Facebook page to your Volunteer page.”
We do allow you to subscribe to a newsletter. When you register for the website, donate, or otherwise give us your information, we will add it to our mailing list. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the email you receive. We use MailChimp as our newsletter provider, and share your name and email address with them as a means to manage our newsletter functions.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

When you contact us by email or using our contact forms, you are providing us with your name and email address. We will use this information, only how you intended us to, to contact you with news. You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at anytime using the link in each newsletter.
